In addition to the automotive core production, BMW Group Plant Dingolfing is also home to production facilities for vehicle components such as pressed parts as well as chassis and drive components. Due to the site’s outstanding expertise in handling aluminum, the car bodies for all Rolls-Royce models are also manufactured here. Thanks to this aluminum expertise in vehicle construction and longstanding experience in producing alternative drives, BMW Group Plant Dingolfing furthermore provides crucial electric drive components for the BMW i models and the BMW Group’s future plug-in hybrid models. These parts are manufactured at Plant 02.20 and further downtown at Plant 02.10, which is also responsible for the production of axles for the local vehicle plant and axle differentials for the BMW Group’s global plant network.
Dingolfing and Lower Bavaria are not only "manufacturing base" for BMW Group, but also home to the central spare parts distribution. From a so-called dynamic center, a large warehouse and handling space, the worldwide BMW and MINI dealership network is supplied with original parts and accessories. In order to meet the growing demands of the parts sales new, large stocks of spare parts for the BMW Group in Bruckberg (Landkreis Landshut) and Wallersdorf (Landkreis Dingolfing-Landau) are currently built.
