25,000 euro donation for hospice in Berlin-Spandau.
The BMW plant in Berlin has supported the Christophorus Hospice in Berlin-Spandau with a donation of 25,000 euros made through the Karl Monz Foundation, which has close ties to the BMW Group. The money will be used to set up grief counselling for children. For more than 10 years, the hospice and its volunteers have been caring for terminally ill patients in the last phase of their lives and supporting their loved ones.
The hospice can accommodate 15 patients in-house but is also strongly involved in out-patient care for terminally ill people. Volunteers provide both practical and emotional support th the patients and their loved ones. The hospice is always looking for more people to help. If you are interested, please contact Anne-Susanna Dreßke. The next weekend introduction workshop for new hospice volunteers takes place in September 2019.
