FROM PRODUCTION SITE TO LEAD PLANT.

BMW motorcycles are being produced in Berlin since 1969. We are proud of our traditional location and for us, tradition and modern production are no contradiction. Thanks to the steadily increasing international demand for BMW motorcycles, the BMW Group plant Berlin developed from a single production site to the lead plant for the international motorcycle production of BMW Motorrad. From here, our BMW Motorrad assembly plants in Brazil and Thailand are steered and global production is managed. The two foreign locations are supplied with so-called CKD kits (Completely Knocked Down) from the Berlin plant. The assembly kits contain precisely defined motorcycle components. These are then assembled on site, in combination with locally produced components, to a finished BMW motorcycle, in well-known BMW quality.
