Sports and Arts

COMMITMENT TO SPORTS AND THE ARTS: CONNECTING AND INSPIRING PEOPLE.

Sports and the arts are vital identity-creating parts of our society. With our commitment in the region, we want to contribute to the preservation of a vivid and multifaceted sports and cultural landscape in Lower Bavaria – ranging from the classical music festival to the football youth A-team cup, from rock concerts to race events.

Dingolfing Half-Marathon

Every year in September, Dingolfing runs. Over 1,000 runners participate in the race, either taking on the half-marathon or a shorter distance run. BMW Group Plant Dingolfing does not only sponsor the event: the route also leads through our Plant 2.1, and traditionally the director of BMW Group Plant Dingolfing gives the official start signal. Generally, more than 100 BMW employees participate in the race, competing in a kind of company ranking.

Bluetone Festival

Every year, the Bluetone Festival attracts internationally renowned pop, rock and jazz artists to Straubing in Lower Bavaria. The lineup is often completed by well-known musicians and comedians from the region. Most recently, over 10,000 visitors enjoyed the festival. BMW Group Plant Dingolfing has been a part of Bluetone Festival since its beginnings in Vilshofen more than 30 years ago and supports the event as an important element of the cultural and festival landscape in Lower Bavaria.
