On Sunday, the ten lowest scoring pro-amateur teams and six lowest scoring pro-celebrity teams will advance to play in the final round at Thornblade Club.

“Many of the celebrities are happy to sign an autograph or take a quick selfie with fans, but it’s safe to assume they will only have a moment,” said McIntyre Hargrove, Communications Manager. “Have your pen in hand or your camera all set to snap the photo as soon as you say ‘hello.’ It’s also very important for fans to understand that tournament play cannot be interrupted, so you will need to catch your favorite celebrity as they are exiting the course after they’ve finished for the day.”

In addition to the list of “who’s who” of actors, artists and athletes, the tournament brings other activities to the Upstate as well, including:

The inaugural Executive Women’s Day will take place on Wednesday, May 17 from 9:30 to 3 p.m. at Furman University’s Trone Student Center. The event will include a panel discussion for women, by women. Keynote speaker for the event will be Molly Barker, founder of Girls on the Run. Tickets for that event are available through Linda Johnson, Director of Sales (864.517.2383; ljohnson@sccharities.org).

On Thursday, May 18 select musical talent participating in the tournament will entertain the masses at a FREE Celebrity Concert on Main after play concludes. The jam session will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Greenville, and will feature a performance by local favorites Back 9 as well as a stand-up comedy routine by Larry the Cable Guy.

On Friday, May 19 a private ticketed concert ($250) will feature a performance by Grammy®-nominated band the Spin Doctors. The Concert Party is an exclusive evening which will include a menu by Larkin’s on the River and beverages. Tickets may be purchased through South Carolina Charities Director of Sales, Linda Johnson (864.517.2383; ljohnson@sccharities.org).

On Saturday, May 20 patrons are encouraged to wear pink to show their support for breast cancer awareness. Pink on the Links presented by Greenville Health System will be observed at all courses.
