Grammy-Nominated Band the Spin Doctors to Headline Exclusive BMW Charity Pro-Am Concert.

Greenville, S.C. The music of the Grammy and American Music Award-nominated band the Spin Doctors will resonate from the TD Stage at the Peace Center Amphitheater during the The Concert Party sponsored by Minghua USA, The Westin Poinsett Greenville and Piedmont Natural Gas on Friday, May 19 at 7 p.m. as the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation again brings not only sport but entertainment back to the Upstate in 2017.

Best known for their Triple Platinum album Pocket Full of Kryptonite (featuring mega-hits “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong”), the Spin Doctors show on Friday will follow Thursday night’s free Celebrity Concert on Main event presented by Gestamp South Carolina, LLC and Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System from 6 to 10 p.m.

“The Spin Doctors have a reputation for putting on phenomenal live shows, and we are looking forward to giving everyone who joins us on Friday an evening charged with energy and fun,” said Max Metcalf, Secretary/Treasurer, BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation. “Meanwhile, those who come out for our Celebrity Concert on Main on Thursday will get a chance to hear a lineup of great musicians after the night begins with stand-up comedy from Larry the Cable Guy.”

The Spin Doctors performance on the TD Stage at the Peace Center Amphitheater will be part of a grand evening featuring a menu by Larkin’s on the River and beverages. The Celebrity Concert on Main will include a performance by local favorites Back 9 in addition to the routine by Larry the Cable Guy. Also set to entertain are Mark Bryan and Dean Felber (Hootie and The Blowfish), Preston Pohl (The Voice), and country artists Steve Azar and Colt Ford.

The Concert Party and the Celebrity Concert on Main performers are among the celebrities competing in the tournament. Other tournament celebrities include: Kim Alexis (actress/model); Jose Alvarez (former Major League Baseball player); Josh Beckett (former MLB player); Tim Brando (FOX Sports broadcaster); Andy Buckley (actor, Odd Mom Out); Carmine Giovinazzo (actor, Criminal Minds/CSI:NY); Scott Henry (comedian); Dan Jansen (Olympian); Chipper Jones (former MLB player); Richard Karn (actor, Home Improvement); John O’Hurley (actor, Seinfeld); Lisa O’Hurley (Fashion Designer); Paul O’Neill (former MLB player); Russ Ortiz (former MLB player); Alfonso Ribeiro (host, America’s Funniest Home Videos); Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers); Gary Valentine (actor, Kevin Can Wait); Tim Wakefield (former MLB player); Justin Wheelon (Emmy Award-winning producer).

Other tournament week events include the inaugural Executive Women’s Day on Wednesday, May 17 from 9:30 to 3 p.m. at Furman University’s Trone Student Center. The event will include a panel discussion for women, by women. Keynote speaker for the event will be Molly Barker, founder of Girls on the Run.
